The session, presented by Dementia Australia, is designed to support positive health and wellbeing outcomes.
Participants will be empowered to build self-care skills which improve quality of life in a caring role.
An individual follow up session will be offered to review progress in achieving people's goals.
Carers, family members and friends will gain knowledge in the impact of caring for a person living with dementia on their wellbeing, learn about strategies to improve and maintain their health and wellbeing, and how to access appropriate services and support
The program is not suitable for professionals employed in the health or aged care sectors.
As part of Covid-19 precautions, intending participants are asked not to attend if they are feeling unwell.
