Cootamundra and District Little Athletics will hold their Annual General Meeting in the near future with all parents of potential participants encouraged to consider attending and possibly filling a committee position to ensure the activity can proceed.
Positions which will need to be filled include:
- President t
- Vice president
- Secretary
- Treasurer
- Registrar
- General committee member
Jessica Earsman, Little Athletics Regional Support and Development Officer - Riverina, urged parents that if the positions are not filled the future of the activity is in jeopardy.
"Please consider filling one of the above roles to help Cootamundra Little Athletics continue well into the future," Ms Earsman said.
"Please do not hesitate to contact me on 02 8070 6123 or 0437 961 303 if you would like information on executive positions or various other committee positions," she continued, adding that Little Athletics NSW will support and assist anyone wanting to take on a committee role and will help guide the new committee throughout the season.
Like all sports, Little Athletics has had to undergo a CovidSafe revolution.
Many of the athletics disciplines already lend themselves to physical distancing of participants so the biggest changes will be around the shared use of equipment of ensuring Covid can-not be spread this way.
Timing of events will also be staggered to avoid groups of people.
Little Athletics accepts children from five years of age with a Tiny Tots program for three to five year olds.
