In the past week they have also stopped, fined or issued court attendance notices to drivers for offences ranging from being unlicenced, drink driving, speeding and drug offences.
On Thursday, October 22 at 3.45pm on Wonkana Rd, Glenfield Park, officers attached to Cootamundra Highway patrol stopped a 18 year-old male and charged him with drive whilst suspended after a short police pursuit.
The man was found to be the holder of a suspended NSW learners driver's licence and issued with a Court Attendance Notice.
His vehicle was issued a major grounded defect notice due to unroadworthy tyres, wire steel belting exposed.
As has been earlier report, at 4.40pm on the same day on Burley Griffin Way at Wallendbeen, a 62 y-old male was charged with drug supply after 576g of cannabis was located in vehicle search.
On Saturday, October 24 at 7.05am on the Hume Highway near Jugiong, Cootamundra police stopped amd ordered two Victorian man to return to their home state.
The 27 year-old ad 26 year-old were found to possess false and misleading border permits to enter NSW.
At 11.55am on the Hume Highway at Gundagai, Cootamundra Highway officers detected a 29 year-old female P2 provisional P plate licence holder travelling at 125km/h in the 110km/h zone.
She was stopped and returned positive test for cannabis and methylamphetamines.
Searches conducted revealed one gram of cannabis, a drug implement and a knife.
The female was issued with traffic infringements for the exceed speed and not display "P" plates, a cannabis caution notice and a criminal infringement notice for possession of a knife. Secondary drug tests are pending.
On Sunday, October 25 at 4.15pm on the Olympic Hwy at Bethungra Cootamundra Highway Patrol detected a 60 year-old male driving with the middle range PCA reading of 0.138.
He was issued a court attendance notice for middle range drink driving and issued a licence suspension notice.
A 50 year-old was detected, on Tuesday, October 27 at 11.53am on Goldfields Way, Sebastopol driving unlicensed, never held licence.
He also returned a positive road side test for cannabis.
Officers issued the man with a Court attendance notice for the unlicensed offence.
