La Nina certainly made its presence known in Cootamundra during January with 136mm of rain already recorded.
Storms last week saw 10.2mm recorded on January 6, 97.3mm on January 27 and a further 26.6mm on January 8.

This week, in the 24 hours up to 9am on January 11, 2.2mm was recorded.
This month's rainfall is significantly higher than the January mean recorded at the Cootamundra Airport which is 45.7mm and comes on the back of 43.4mm recorded in December and 164.1mm recorded in November.
Looking forward to the remainder of the month the BoM forecasting is showing that more of the same is to be expected for the remainder of the summer with storm activity set to remain until the second half of February.
