Members of a criminal group, allegedly responsible for shooting a Sydney man in the head and chest, have been charged after a six-month investigation.

The 27-year-old victim was in a carpark on Campsie's Canterbury Road when a man allegedly fired two guns "up to 12 times" into his car at 9.20pm on September 12, 2023, police said.
The alleged victim has since made a full recovery after he was rushed to hospital in a serious condition with two gunshot wounds.
Detectives found five burnt-out cars in the following week, believed to be used by the group behind the shooting, police said.
A white Mercedes, allegedly used as a getaway car by the shooter, was found later that night crashed into house in Kingsgrove, southern Sydney.
The car allegedly caught fire after ramming into the house and the blaze was extinguished by NSW Fire and Rescue before any serious damage to the property.
Police have made six arrests over the alleged shooting and seized a number of weapons, cash and drugs during searches.
Police said "both firearms used in the shooting have been recovered and forensically examined".
Arrests
The arrests included a 19-year-old North Parramatta man, a 22-year-old Granville man, a 20-year-old Merrylands man, a 19-year-old Greystanes man as well as an 18-year-old and 19-year-old who were already in police custody.
Police seized two gel blasters, two replica revolvers, two crossbows, a butterfly knife, knuckle dusters and 37 grams of a white powder from the 19-year-old North Parramatta man's home.
He was charged with two counts of possessing an unauthorised pistol.

The 22-year-old Granville man was charged with eight offences including shoot at with intent to murder, participating in criminal group and six counts of possessing or using a prohibited weapon without a permit.
Police seized electronics, cannabis and more than $3,000 cash at the 20-year-old Merrylands man's home. He was charged with destroying property in company using fire exceeding $5000.
A "small amount" of cannabis, clothing relevant to the investigation and a gel blaster were allegedly found at the 19-year-old Greystanes man's home.
He was charged with shoot at with intent to murder, possessing an unauthorised prohibited firearm, destroying property in company using fire exceeding $5000 and participating in a criminal group.
The 18-year-old in custody at Merrylands Police Station was charged with destroying or damaging property in company using fire exceeding $5000.

The 19-year-old in custody at Silverwater Prison is expected to be charged with deliberately destroying property by fire in company.
All men were refused bail and their cases remain before the courts. Police said the investigation is continuing.
