The major award is now named the Frank Smith Memorial Trophy after one of Cootamundra’s favourite sons.
The Junior Sportsperson of the Year was first named in 1985 and the Team of the Year first awarded in 1992 and there are now awards for Local Sportsperson, Junior Encouragement Award, Best Performed Local Team and Sports Administrator.
