The Inverell Toughen Up Challenge committee is calling for volunteers who have a good attitude, are willing to help and like encouraging others. They’ve called for locals to help out on either the Friday, March 15 or Saturday March 16 event with all training provided on the day. Juniors between 5-9 and 10-13 will participate in the challenge in teams of two on the Friday evening starting at 5pm. This fun and muddy even is a scaled down version of the adult track but just as fun and certainly challenging. Then, on Saturday teens aged 14-17 in teams of four will complete the same course as the seniors, running in the youth category. For all other ages, capabilities and toughness, the seniors section will take teams of four to their absolute fitness limits. There is competitive and non-competitive sections available and can be made up of men, women or mixed entrant. All proceeds from the Inverell Toughen Up Challenge are channeled back into the local community making the even a win-win for everyone.
