The Tri-Colours scored six tries to Young's five in the 45-29 win at Cranfield Oval at Young.
The result marked a 10th straight win for Cootamundra.
A Darryl Hemopo double in the opening stages of the match fired Cootamundra to an early lead, however Yabbies tries before the break gave the hosts the lead.
The Tri-Colours piled on the points after the break with Mitchell Coleman crossing for a double and Matt Berkrey and Kade Burgess also grabbing tries.

The match coincided as the inaugural Ben Smith Memorial Trophy between the two sides.
"As a small way of honoring his memory the trophy will be contested annually," the Yabbies said in a statement.
This week, Cootamundra hosts Grenfell in round 11.
