The weather is warming up and Cootamundra Swimming Lifesaving Club has commenced its Summer Season program for 2019/2020 by making a big splash in the pool last Thursday night November 21, 2019 when they commenced their club night races at the Cootamundra Outdoor Pool from 6pm.

Swim Club saw 54 Swimmers dive into the pool participating in 25m, 50m, and 100m races where the swimmers will strive to beat their personal best times in the stroke they are participating in, on the night.
The Cootamundra Swimming Club welcomed back all existing and new members to the club.
The club presently has 80 Swimmers participating in the sport.
Swim Club is part of Southern Inland Swimming Association (SISA) where the club will participate in Swim Meets throughout Summer at various country towns which is conducted under SISA and the South West Zone.
Adam Gammon is Head Coach of Cootamundra Swim Club, along with Coaches Charmaigne Derrick, Aaron Peacey and Mark Lake.
Swim Club trains on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday Night at the Cootamundra outdoor and indoor pool.
The club was proud to appoint Ms Abbey Gammon, 15 years of age, to Club Captain for the second year.
Mark Lake (President) said, "Abbey's leadership last year was outstanding, and I am sure it will continue this year throughout the club assisting and supporting all swimmers".

Congratulations goes to a long serving swimming club committee member Mrs Leearn Sedgwick.
Her life membership badge was presented to her in front of all the swimmers at Thursday night's first club night of the season.
Leearn has fulfilled many positions and roles during her 14 years' service at Cootamundra Swim Club.
